There is no evidence that Abu Sa'id was ever recognized at Multan in Pakistan, and in any case, if struck there, the style would have been very different, unlike the mainstream style of his mints as Herat (his capital) and Samarqand, so I would suspect that the mint name should refer to a location in either Khorasan or Central Asia that we have been unable to identify.
