Manufactured from 1880 to 1911. Original of the name for this pistol was Frank Lord, a prominent competitive pistol shooter of the period. Of all Stevens target pistols, the Lord Model boast the greatest popularity and the most years of availability. This example of a Stevens-Lord No. 36 pistol features a factory gold plated frame and pearl grips. The barrel has the two line Stevens A. & T. address/1884 patent date marking and is equipped with blade front and adjustable "V" notch rear sights. The barrel and trigger guard are numbered to the gun. Blued barrel, hammer, trigger, and screws with gold plated iron frame. Fitted with two piece pearl grips.

Condition: Very fine. The barrel retains 90% original blue finish thinning to a brown with some minor scratches and limited minor pitting. The frame retains 80% original gold plating with the balance a smooth gray patina. There is tarnished gold plating on the grip straps and flare butt. The grips are very fine with a few hairline age cracks and some scattered minor scratches.
