A piece of comic book history, this limited edition print, drawn by Kaare Andrews, depicts the Human Torch. Kaare Andrews is a Canadian comic book writer and artist and film-maker known for his cover work on Incredible Hulk and many other comic books published by Marvel Comics. He was the first recipient of The Shuster Award for Outstanding Artist in 2005 for his work on "Spider-Man: Doctor Octopus." He has also worked on Ultimate X-Men, Gen, The Amazing Spider-Man, and The Matrix Comics.
"Ultimate X-Men #2" is a limited edition giclee on canvas by Kaare Andrews presented by Marvel Comics, numbered #13/99 and hand signed by the great Stan Lee! Measures approximately 18" x 27" (image).

About Stan Lee:
Born in 1922 in New York City to humble beginnings, Stan Lee is now perhaps the most well-known name in the world of comics and superheroes. His career in comics began when he was 16 by becoming an assistant at Timely Comics, which would soon evolve into Marvel Comics. Lee quickly worked his way up the corporate ladder to become writer and eventually editor-in-chief. In the late 1950s, Lee was given the task to come up with a superhero team to rival the popular Justice League of America. Always preferring stories of heroes with flawed pasts and obvious humanity, Lee, with the help of artist Jack Kirby, created the Fantastic Four, which proved to be an instant success. Stan Lee is also credited with helping create Spider-Man, the X-Men, the Avengers, Iron Man, the Hulk, Thor, Daredevil, Doctor Strange, and many others. Lee’s contribution to Marvel helped expand Marvel Comics into the entertainment giant that it is today.First known as Timely Publications in 1939, then Atlas Comics in the 1950s, the comic book empire known as Marvel Comics came into being in 1961 with the launch of the first Fantastic Four. With the help of creative geniuses Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, Marvel produced 831 comic books, each with at least one new superhero, during the 1960s. Known for focusing on characterization and placing heroes in a real-world context, Marvel’s popularity with comic book readers continued to rise through the decades. Soon, Marvel was sporting a veritable pantheon of pop culture icons, including Spider-Man, Iron Man, the X-Men, the Hulk, the Fantastic Four, and Captain America. Marvel eventually added films to its entertainment arsenal, and has been behind some of the top-grossing films of all time including The Avengers and the Iron-Man, Thor, and Captain America franchises.

A bid being placed on an auction item is an agreement to the auction terms and conditions as explained below. Pristine Auction is a JCK Enterprises L.L.C. company.
Bidder Registration: All bidder's must be 18 years of age or older to participate in the auction. Pristine auction reserves the right to suspend a registered user and/or cancel the bid of a registered user for any reason.
Bidding: Minimum bid increment is 5% of the current high bid. Bids are accepted 24 hours a day directly through our website (www.pristineauction.com). Our site will automatically generate and send an e-mail when a bidder is outbid on an auction. This is provided as a courtesy service to our bidders and is a non-guarantee service. Although rare, it is possible for our site to encounter interruptions in service or malfunctions. We reserve the right to suspend, cancel, or extend auctions that have been affected by such an occurrence. At the end of each auction, winning bidders will be notified as soon as possible via e-mail. Extended Bidding: Our auction timer corresponds with Eastern Standard Time. All auctions are set up with a 10 minute extended bidding period. The extended bidding period is initiated once an auction countdown is below 10 minutes. During the extended bidding period, all new bids reset the auction countdown to 10 minutes. An auction ends when no new bids are entered for a full 10 minutes. Each auction is on an independent timer so auctions will end at different times.
Returns: All items are shown and described to the best of our ability. Please ask any necessary questions before placing a bid. Items authenticated by an industry recognized third party authenticator may not be returned. Items accompanied by a Pristine Auction LOA can be returned for authenticity purposes if they have been reviewed and rejected by an acceptable authenticator. Acceptable authenticators are as follows: PSA/DNA, JSA, Global Authentics, or PAAS. All auction sales are final except in very limited circumstances (as described above or if a lot is grossly misrepresented). If winning bidder believes a lot was misrepresented he/she must contact us within 7 days of receipt of the lot with written explanation of the alleged gross error. If it is deemed that a gross error has occurred, it is the Buyer's responsibility to return the lot in question within seven (7) days of notice or evaluation.
Reserve: We reserve the right to place a reserve on auctions. Reserves are determined before the start of an auction. If bidding does not meet or exceed the predetermined reserve price, the lot will be returned to the consignor or relisted into a future auction.
Auction Cancellation: We reserve the right to cancel an auction at any time for any reason.
Disputes: If any disputes arise, legal action will go before the AAA (American Arbitration Association) and will take place in Arizona. By bidding on the auction (and thus agreeing to our auction policies) the right to trial by jury in any and all legal disputes is forfeited.
