Springfield model 1836 flintlock musket, .69 caliber, with bayonet dated “1840”. Showing three-bands, and all features as standard on this issue. The musket shows a good quality re-conversion back to flint, the stock showsa loss of wood behind the lock area, which has been worn down and is of the period. Traces of cartouches, some light refinishing to wood. Bayonet and ramrod are original type. A representative model 1836 that isgood looking. Est: $1,000 - $2,000
