This example was manufactured between 1924 and 1933. The barrel is stamped behind the front sight "S A/flaming bomb/10-38" and on the left side of the breech "LONG RIFLE/CART'GE ONLY". There is a fully adjustable Lyman peep sight mounted to the right rear of the receiver and the bolt is electro penciled on the bottom with the matching serial number "751" and is stamped "NS/M2" at the base of the bolt handle on top. Mounted on a walnut pistol grip stock with finger grooves, a boxed "B.A. - J.L." cartouche on left wrist, "NTS/47" is stamped on the right side of the buttstock with red paint in the recesses and there is a checkered steel buttplate.

Very fine as arsenal converted to M2 configuration, the receiver retains 90% original blue finish with some high edge and cycling wear. The floor plate and trigger guard retain 30% original blue finish with a brown patina on the balance. The replacement barrel retains 95% plus original parkerized finish with some minor wear overall. The lightly sanded stock is good with scattered moderate dings and scattered minor scratches. Mechanically fine.
