Solid Mahogany Swinging Saloon Doors
Solid Mahogany Swinging Saloon Doors Mfg. by Brunswick, Balke and Collender Co., Chicago, IL. Circa 1902. These doors were originally from a saloon in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Featuring Applied Carvings at the top, these doors were refinished 25 years ago and have a wonderful patina. They incorporate beveled glass in all panels and are highlighted with double glue-chipped and cut glass sections. The center shields showcase two honey combed and five notched glass panes. The hinges are brass and spring loaded. The push plates (four in total), are mirrored, beveled, glue-chipped glass that have the Brunswick, Balke & Collender logo on them. The outside panels are cut beveled and acid etched giving a spectacular effect. One of the most beautiful sets of saloon doors we have seen. To be sold with photos at the auction on Saturday. The winning bidder must pick them up in Alpharetta, Georgia. If you wish to see them assembled in person, you can make an appointment with Showtime Auctions at (951) 453-2415.
