Silas Hoadley Transitional Shelf Clock, Plymouth, Connecticut, c. 1830, mahogany veneered case with beautifully stenciled half columns and splat with gold gilt, pinapple carved finials, hand painted dial, reverse painted lower table, and claw feet. Nice label, "Clocks. Arranged and Manufactured by Silas Hoadley, Plymouth, (Conn.)", has some hand writing on label, wooden works, weight driven, 30 hour, key wind, pendulum clock. Many Silas Hoadley Clocks which depict a home or building on the reverse painted glass tablet, are actual homes in the Town of Plymouth and surrounding Connecticut towns of the time period. Measures approx. 30" tall x 17" wide x 5" deep.
