Promising American actress (born 1943) and wife of director Roman Polanski who was propelled into infamy when she was murdered by the Manson Family at the age of 26 in the notorious killing spree that shook the nation in the summer of 1969. Beautiful glossy 8 x 10 photo of Tate in a movie scene, signed and inscribed in fountain pen “Por Pier, All My Very Best, Sharon Tate.” In fine condition. This photo is from the movie Eye of the Devil. This is particularly significant, as it was not only Tate’s first movie role, but also gained cult status due to the supernatural themes of the film, and the way in which Tate died. Tate is extremely scarce in signed photographs, and this one is phenomenal in all regards.
