Blade front sight and 2-leaf rear sight both marked "S", with an "8-43" dated Underwood barrel, Type I barrel band, standard receiver markings, flat bolt, "STANDARD PRODUCTS" marked receiver heel, milled trigger guard, pushbutton safety and "SW" marked magazine catch. Smooth high-wood stock with 2-rivet handguard, Arsenal proof on the right side of the buttstock, oval oiler cut, "SJ" in the sling cut and a checkered buttplate. With a tan canvas sling, extra 5-round magazine, and a "D.M. SHOE CO./ 1943" marked buttstock magazine pouch.

Condition: Excellent, with 95% plus of the original parkerized finish, showing slight thinning on the barrel, bright edge wear and mild handling marks overall. The bolt retains 97% of the original blue. Stock is excellent, with minor pressure dents. Canvas items show light wear, with a section absent from the rear of the magazine pouch. Mechanically excellent. A correct, original World War II production Standard Products contract M1 carbine!
