Scarce Reid .32 Caliber My Friend Knuckle Duster Revolver
Manufactured from 1870 to 1882 with a total production of about 2,900 brass frame models. The left side of the top strap is marked "MY FRIEND PAT'D. DEC. 26, 1865". Five shot cylinder and the silver plated brass frame is scroll and punch dot background engraved. The frame also acts as a set of knuckles for hand fighting. The serial number is marked on the bottom of the frame and the cylinder pin and rear cylinder are marked with the partial serial number"77".

Very good. The cylinder has a smooth silver gray patina and the remaining iron parts have a smooth dark patina. The frame has an untouched natural aged patina. The top strap marking has been double stamped and remains readable, and the engraving is crisp and clear. Mechanically fine.
