Scarce Reid .32 Caliber My Friend Knuckle Duster Revolver
Manufactured from 1870 to 1882 with a total production of about 2,900 brass frame models. The left side of the top strap is marked "MY FRIEND PAT'D. DEC. 26, 1865". Five shot cylinder and the silver plated brass frame is scroll and punch dot background engraved. The cylinder is nickel plated. The frame also acts as a set of knuckles for hand fighting. The serial number is marked on the bottom of the frame, the cylinder pin has the partial number "02"and rear cylinder face is marked with the number "2".

Very fine. The cylinder retains approximately 60% nickel finish with an area that has flaked and shows fine pitting and gray patina. The frame retains approximately 90% of the original silver with the exposed areas having an aged patina. The markings and engraving are crisp and clear. Mechanically fine.
