Scarce Marlin Model 410 Lever Action Shotgun
A unique venture for the Marlin Company, this lever action shotgun is based on the Model 1883 action with a longer loading port, modified tube magazine that holds 5 shots and a smoothbore barrel chambered for the .410 shot shell, full choke. Unmarked barrel with a single bead front sight and "Marlin / 410" marked on the upper tang. Plain pistol grip stock, finger groove forearm, casehardened lever and fitted with a checkered hard rubber Marlin buttplate. Manufactured between 1929 and 1932. Length of pull is 13 3/4".

Condition: Fine. The barrel and magazine have a smooth brown patina. The receiver shows 30% original plum blue finish with the balance having a smooth brown and gray patina. The lever has a smooth brown patina with traces of faded original case colors in protected areas. The wood is good with scattered minor dents, dings and scratches. The action is very good.
