1960's/ 1970's Russian Impressionist oil painting of a forest landscape. Oil on board. Signed verso by Gaiduk Victor Kirillovich ( 1926-1992 ). Born in Zaporozhye Ukraine in 1926. Studied in studio of Comradeship ofArtists 1951-1957. Began exhibiting in Kiev, Moscow, Spain & the Czech Republic in 1953 & a member of the National Union of Artists. Formerly an officer of the Soviet Army. Oil painting on board. * There are 2 tearsvisible, one of them 2" up & down on the bottom edge of the painting & another 4" across on the right hand side - possibly why this painting is mounted to another heavy stock board. some tearing along the top ofthe sheet that would hide when matted & framed. Original pin holes to each corner where the artist pinned the board down while painting. * 16" X 23"
