We were informed by the consignor that this is from the Liberty Belle. This is a reproduction print (from a printing press) of one of the all-time classic beer signs from Nevada. There is a 1 1/4" tear on top right. Bottom left has been dog-eared. There two dents in the paper and other small infractions. Please inspect. The sign shows the Reno Brewery with Sierra Lager advertising. "Reno need no longer send east for lager,” rejoiced one of the local papers upon the opening of the Reno Brewing Company in 1903. Located on the corner of E. 4th and Spokane Streets, the new company joined a number of existing breweries in Reno including the Buffalo Brewing Company, Riter’s Elite Steam Beer, and the Wieland Brewing Company. By 1907 the successful company boasted a new five-story brick "annex" and produced three varieties of beer: Sierra Beer, Malt Rose, and Royal Lager. It was soon the largest brewery in the state, shipping its product from the nearby railroad tracks and delivering locally in the company’s signature trucks. [Reno Historical Website] Original print is c1910. "C. K. 1003" printed on bottom. Print is 12 x 18". 16 x 21" inside a very nice frame! City: Reno State: Nevada Date: HWAC# 50872
