Remington model 1871 commercial Rolling Block pistol, .50-70 centerfire in fine to excellent condition, blue and case hardened finish, varnish wood stocks, serial #220. The pistol shows approx. 90-95% original blue on barrel, evenly drifting and toning, and some lightening at the edges and a few minor scratches. The frame shows 80-90% bright and fiery case hardening, some drifting at the endges, minor pinprick pitting and beginning age. The hammer and breech block show bright straw type finish as does the pins. The small parts and screws show bright original fire blue. The varnish wood stocks are very good plus to near fine with 80-90% varnish, a few mars and scratches, normal aging, and some slight wear at the bottom edge. Good crisp markings. Tight action. Bright original bore showing little use. A choice example of a scarce commercial. Provenance: Leoff collection, Landskron collection. Est: $3,000 - $6,000

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
