Remington model 1871 Army pistol, martially marked and inspected. .50 caliber centerfire. Serial number 1806. The pistol remains in fine to excellent condition showing 95-98% military type blue finish on barrel. 95-98% bright and fiery case hardening on action, just slightly drifting on inside of grip and bottom of triggerguard. Just some slight aging just starting. The hammer, breech, and small parts show original straw, the screws show original fire blue. The stocks are excellent with a sharp “CRS” cartouche on left grip and the bottom of the grip shows no losses, just some handling and light storage marks that are small. The action is crisp, the bore near mint. The pistol shows very little handling and storage and just slight opening to the grain on the forend. The best Jerry Landskron could fine in 40 years of collecting. A strong 9.8 on a 1-10 scale. Est: $3,000 - $6,000
