Remington Single Shot breech loading carbine, Type II, .50 cal., 20” round barrel, single iron barrel band with sling swivel, blue finish, wood stocks, #NVSN. This carbine is in overall very good to excellent condition showing approx. 90% original blue finish just slightly drifting on the barrel and the receiver with several small areas of pin prick pitting; the bore is fine, the action crisp and the markings on the upper tang are sharp. The wood stocks are very good showing two complete inspector’s cartouches on the left stock just behind the frame and a stamped “P”; there is also a stamped “123” number on the back end of the butt stock on the left side; both sling swivels are present and so is the saddle ring and bar.
