Remington Model 1875 Single Action revolver, .44-40 cal., 7-1/2” round barrel, blue and case hardened finish, wood grips, #608. This gun was originally in the Gordon Matson collection of Indian Police guns andartifacts and is accompanied by collection documentation indicating it was found on the Shoshoni Indian Reservation and at the time was missing the grips and ejector rod that were replaced by Matson. The gun is inoverall good condition showing even wear and scattered spots of pitting with a grey/brown patina, good action, fair bore, well-made replacement wood grips and iron ejector rod. A really interesting Remington from a known old collection that was displayed at many early gun shows and winner of a number of awards. Est.: $2,000-$4,000.
