Remington-Hepburn No. 3 Sporting Rifle, #8881, .40-65 cal., 30'' blue octagon barrel, case hardened frame, pistol-grip checkered buttstock, smooth Schnauble forend, with German silver front sight and mid-range vernier rear sight probably by Axtell. Rear portion of barrel top flat shows evidence of original sight which has been neatly plugged with decorative blanks. Condition is very good to near fine. Barrel shows light high edgewear, a little more pronounced at breech. Frame with 50%-60% muted case colors. Stocks with light scuffs and minor flattening to checks.
