Rare palm squeezer, approx. 6mm centerfire, barrel marked L. Jourjon. Circa approx. 1870’s. The grip scales are a French ivory type cast material. Left reads “renovator”, right reads “medaielle”. The front of themagazine shows patent markings “France” and “Etranger” the mechanism is extremely interesting and an open spring breech that fires upon closing. The condition is good to very good showing a patina finish with someblue mixed in. 50% nickel on spring and grip area. In 40 years of selling oddities we have not seen another or could find no other specimen illustrated in any reference work. Est: $3,500 - $7,000
