Rare WWII British ''Rupert'' the Paradummy, as dropped on D-Day to confuse German forces. Made of burlap that was to be stuffed with straw or other similar material, with white silk parachute neatly packed to back portion. An expendable item with few remaining, most in museums. A few of these were found in an English warehouse 35 years ago. They were instantly picked up by collectors and do not show up much today. Not to be confused with the type shown in the movie ''The Longest Day'', which were basically a studio interpretation of this original item. Condition is excellent, appearing as new and unused. The only type used in WWII combat. The ultimate D-Day collectible. Est.: $2,500-$4,000.
