Luger P.08 manufactured by Krieghoff Waffenfabrik at Suhl, Germany in 1940. The pistol has the distinctive Krieghoff blue with matte finish in the frame recesses. The safety lever, lock bolt, trigger and ejector are straw finished and the magazine release and sear bar spring are niter blue. The pistol is fitted with the original black, checkered, plastic grips. Dated "1940" on the chamber, with the Krieghoff trademark and "KRIEGHOFF/SUHL" on the toggle. The left side of the extractor is marked "GELADEN" and the upper safety lever position "GESICHERT". The right side of the receiver is marked with the Luftwaffe Parts Stamp, Test Proof and Acceptance Stamp, which are repeated on several other parts. Matching serial number on the frame, barrel and extension, with matching partial numbers on the trigger, safety components, toggle pin, toggle links and breechblock. With a black leather holster, marked "DLU/ 1942" on the back, and an extra magazine. Both magazines are blue finished with correct Krieghoff "eagle" over "Z" proofs on aluminum bases both of which are numbered to match the gun.
BBL: 4 inch round
Gauge: 9 mm

Excellent, with 95% of the original blue finish, with light holster wear and scattered light handling marks. Straw colors are original and 70% intact. Grips are excellent, with a few mild pressure dents. Holster is good, with some scuffing on the high points, cracking and some lost stitching. Mechanically excellent. This is the ultimate in collectability for the serious Luger collector!
