Rare Jacob Rupertus Double Barrel Deringer
Produced circa 1880 in Philadelphia, Pa., with only 100 believed to have been made. Post and notch sights, with the left side of the barrel marked "RUPERTUS PAT'D PISTOL MFG. CO. PHILADELPHIA" and a swiveling striker on the hammer. Matching serial numbers on the brear of the barrel and heel of the frame under the grip. Checkered hammer, spur trigger and smooth two piece walnut grips.

Fine, with a crisp gray patina on the barrel and asmooth brown patina on the frame, showing traces of the original finish in protected areas. Some minor dents and scratches are visible. The grips are very good, with light pressure dents and minimal varnish loss. Striker needs adjustment, otherwise mechanically fine.
