Philadelphia derringer by Slotter, marked “Made for J. P. Lower”, .41 caliber, 2-1/4” barrel, 5-1/4” overall. Engraved German Silver mounts, full stocked, five-groove rifling, serial #9 on inside of triggerguard. Good to very good condition showing light grey patina. Wood shows some even wear from carry but is at least good to very good overall. The engraving is sharp, the markings well-defined. The right side of the barrelis marked “Wart Steel”. J. P. Lower originally worked in Pennsylvania and later moved to Denver. Est: $900 - $1,800
