Parker Bros. P Model , No. 1 frame, SxS concealed hammers shotgun, 12 gauge, 30” Damascus barrels, checkered wood stocks, #60100 with copy of a factory letter indicating this gun was ordered by Powell and Clement Co. in Cincinnati, Ohio on March 4, 1890 and shipped on June 30, 1890 and containing other specific specifications to this gun when it left the factory. The gun is in overall very good to fine conditionshowing approx. 98% Damascus pattern to barrels with one slight dent on the bottom of the right barrel near the muzzle; approx. 50% original case colors on receiver, fine bores, crisp actions, very good + wood withwhat appears to be an old added coating of varnish; after market red hard rubber butt pad. Also accompanied by a copy of a Parker Gun Collectors Assn magazine, Winter 2007, Vol. 14, Issue 4 where this shotgun wasfeatured in which it is stated that “This is a landmark gun . . . it is the earliest plain twist hammerless gun found to date . . . the engraving pattern is near identical to PHPP guns in the 200,000 serial range”.
