Excellent. 95% original blue finish remains on the barrel showing some mild isolated thinning on a high point on the left side of the barrel about three inches behind the muzzle and some overall collector type handling marks. All markings are crisp and clear. The frame retains 90% bright original blue finish thinning on high edges and exhibiting some handling marks and small surface scratches. The hammer and lever both display brilliant flashes of original case colors the balance has some what silvered out but still displays a distinct casecolor pattern. The loading gate also retains some of its original niter blue finish. The wood is excellent plus showing only very minor pressure marks scattered. The checkering is still crisp. Overall this is a very fine special order Winchester Model 1892 carbine that remains in excellent original condition.
