(Warner Bros., 1963) Pencil, watercolor and gouache on 15 x 22” 2-ply illustration board, executed and pencil-signed by Norma Koch, whose noted work includes such diverse titles as Invaders from Mars and Flight of the Phoenix. Subject is of Anita Ekberg in a long, full yet deliberately revealing black top coat over white chiffon dress or slip with matching parasol, hat, and gloves. Koch has added a single diagonal pencil line across Ekberg’s cleavage to prepare for the likelihood of censorship. Pencil notations, plus director Robert Aldrich’s O.K. signature in red grease pencil on recto, and verso displays a detail line drawing of a slip undergarment. Small tape stain at top margin, else Very Fine.
