Available for bidding is a set of two ancient Mississippian culture period bowls. Each bowl shows a standard medium walled shape, and each bowl shows a wonderful scalloped rim. The bowls originate from around the late Mississippian culture era, spanning from c. 1400-1600 CE, from the Ouachita River Valley. The bowls show good condition for age, however, each has repaired cracks. The larger of the two bowls measures 8 3/4" wide, and 3 1/2" tall.
