You are bidding on a beautiful Flapper Era enameled metal mesh handbag manufactured by Mandalian MFG Co. The company was started by Turkish emigrant, Sahatiel Mandalia. Mandalia and was a close competitor to Whiting and Davis, who made similar mesh handbags. Many collectors feel that Mandalian bags outshine the competition when in excellent condition. This handbag is in excellent condition, with the mesh linked securely to the frame and all the chain fringe intact. The purse has a gilded filigree frame with a chain and Mandalian's patented "Lustro Pearl Finish", which was guaranteed to be chip resistant. The white, gold and red enamel purse features an attractive floral print and is in excellent condition. Some of the purses were produced with a satin lining, while others were produced without it. This purse was produced without, as there is no sign a lining was ever present. The purse measures 6.5" x 3.5" without the chain handle and fringe.
