Road manager, assistant, and friend of the Beatles who contributed to several of their recordings (1935–1976). Unsigned handwritten lyrics for two Beatles songs, one lined page, both sides, 8 x 12.75, no date. The top of the page features partial lyrics to the song ‘Birthday,’ with Evans adding the final six lines: “You say it's your birthday / Well it's my birthday too yeah / ?—(You) say it's your birthday / We're gonna have a good time / I'm glad it's your birthday / Happy birthday to you. End.” The second song Evans pens is “Helter Skelter,” and reads as follows: “When I get to the bottom I go back to the top of the slide / Well I stop and I turn and I go for a ride / Till I get to the bottom and I see you again / Sheet / Will you won't you want me to make you / I'm coming down fast but don't let me break you / Tell me tell me tell me the answer / You may be a lover but you ain't no dancer / Look out helter skelter helter skelter helter skelter ooh / Look out cause he’s a comm / When I get to the bottom I go back to the top of the slide / And I stop and I turn and I go for a ride / And I get to the bottom and I see you again yeah ye–ah / Well do you don't you want me to make you / I'm comming down fast but don't let me break you / Tell me tell me tell me the answer / You may be a lover but you ain't no dancer / Look out helter skelter helter skelter helter skelter / Look out helter skelter / You comming down fast / Yes she is / Yes she is.” In fine condition, with a tear, and paper loss, to the top edge. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks. Evans wrote out these lyrics so that they could be used in the studio during the recording of the songs, which both appear on the 1968 White Album.
