Madansinghji (1947-1948 AD), Silver Jai Hind 5 Kori, 13.88g, VS 2004, Jai Hind in Devnagari above the Bhuj fortress on rev. (KM 85). Nice toning, Superb Mint State, Very Rare in such a high grade. These coins are an issue of Independent India, struck in 1948 AD, with the rare salutation Jai Hind on rev. It’s the last issue of the last ruler of Kutch which merged into the Indian Union in 1948. These coins are the only example of an Indian Princely State issuing coins to mark and celebrate India’s Independence.
