This is an M. Hohner Unsere Lieblinge Harmonica in the key of C, made in Germany around the 1930's. The logo includes a "Star of David" between the two hands on one side of the harmonica, indicating it was made prior to WW I. It comes with the original box. This model has 16 double holes, with curved front, and measures 5 x 1 1/2 inches. The body is chrome and red stained wood. A few spots of color are worn in front, and there are a few surface spots on the chrome, but otherwise is in very good condition.
The dark purple box has embossed and gilded lettering, and colorful applied graphics of two lovely ladies. The Hohner label with the hunting horn logo appears on the inside lid. The box has wear and corner separation.
This is a top quality harmonica, worthy of collectors and musicians alike.
