Lot of two antique walking stick; 1) Gold filled ornate head that is nicely inscribed “Presented to C. R. Kaplinger by his grand army friends, February 17, 1903”. The stick measures 35-5/8” in length, including head. Head approx. 2”. The top of the head shows dents. The black and hardwood shaft is good. Probably a presentation between veterans to an admired officer or colleague. 2) Unusual walking stick with braided horse hair overlay, 36-1/4” from tip to tip. Shows multicolor died horsehair with flags and geometrics and the name S. Fox. The condition is good to very good. We would date it about 1900 – 1920. Est: $350 - $700
