About Kaptain Kirk's Auction and Appraisals
Kaptain Kirk has over 25 years of auction experience, including working as a ringman, clerk, lotter, sorter, assistant auctioneer, and other responsibilities for many area auction companies, prior to starting Kaptain Kirk’s Auction & Appraisals several years ago. Sandi, his “First Mate”, has been by his side for many years, as they have bought and sold thousands of items prior to starting Kaptain Kirk’s. This experience has given them substantial insight, and knowledge into what it takes to sort, identify, properly describe, and prepare items for auction.
Leslie is our IT specialist, and is our only fulltime employee right now. She handles all aspects of catalog preparation, which includes sorting, researching, and preparing items for auction. She also helps us with support for our extensive computer network, and takes bids from the internet during the auction. You may also encounter her when dropping items off, or picking up items during the day. She is an invaluable asset to us, and helps us out with pickups, contracts, and all aspects of Kaptain Kirk’s.
At check-in and checkout, you will encounter Judie most of the time greeting you with a smile, will quickly get you checked in, and issued a bid card. She will also be there to process you though the checkout process, when you are ready to leave.
On the selling floor, you will find a number of ringmen helping out at different times, Dave, Dale, “Vanna” Anna, Rod, and others who help move items to the ring, help with taking bids, and help get your items into your hands once you win the bid.
Gidget, the newest addition to our staff, will be found on the selling platform clerking, or recording the bids during the auction. She also helps with setting up the auctions, bulk mailing, and whatever else needs to be done before, during, or after the auction.
It takes a number of people working hard all of the time to make the auction experience pleasant, and our staff is always working together to make your experience at Kaptain Kirk’s the most fun that you have ever had at an auction.
