Highly regarded British science fiction author (1903–1969) best known for the plants-gone-berserk classic Day of the Triffids and The Midwich Cuckoos, which served as the basis for the horror classic Village of the Damned. Uncommon vintage matte-finish 5.5 x 7.5 photo, signed and inscribed in fountain pen “To Mrs. Jolly from John Wyndham, Sept. 1957.” Very slight trimming to margins and slightly indistinct contrast of signature against background, otherwise fine, fresh condition. A rare photo signed in the year of the release of his classic, The Midwich Cuckoos.
