Original 2.25 x 4 carte-de-visite photo by John and Charles Watkins of London, and so backstamped on the reverse, signed in black ink, “J. S. Mill.” In fine condition, with a few spots to image, small pencil notations to top and bottom border, and light adhesive remnants to reverse.
