Italian Giuseppe Armani ''Mahogany'' Sculpture, ''This vintage figurine is a true Italian beauty. Named 'Mahogany' and made in Florence, Italy, this was the first black figurine made by Armani, this sculpture was inspired by the Art Deco style. It features a beautiful African-American woman with doe eyes and pouty lips. She wears a cloche hat and a stunning, white Grecian-draped dress adorned with a white flower. Mahogany stands hugging a 'good luck' elephant statue that sits on a spiraled column. This ceramic sculpture stands approx. 16.5'' high. The base is 6'' wide. It is signed (impressed in the ceramic) and stamped by the artist, Giuseppe Armani. Circa 1973 as marked on the bottom. A lovely piece with an artistic contrast of white on ebony skin. Perfect for any Deco-inspired decor.''
