Indian Flintlock Axe/Pistol circa late 18th to 19th century formally Keith Neal collection pictured 191-192 “Blades & Barrels” by Gordon Frost. The arm measures 23-1/2” overall, the barrel portion is 4-1/4” with cannon type turn muzzle in approx 52 cal smooth bore. The forging and metal work is very good quality and completely made during the period and in its original state. The metal surfaces show some minor pittingand erosion but generally good overall. There is a dagger concealed in butt which unscrews and measures approx 5-1/” in blade length. Many copies have been made in the 20th century but this is a genuine specimenwith provenance.
