Made available for bidding in this lot is a circa 1929, Improved Order of Red Men fraternal order pin. The order was established in 1765, as the nations earliest fraternal order, and was changed to the "Improved Order of Red Men" in 1834. The pin shows an ornate three tier construction, each linked by gold tone chain. The top tier shows the form of an eagle, perched on a banner, marked; "F.F. & C", second is a ornate plaque sating; "N Y - Improved Order Of Red Men", and lastly is a hatchet, and knife cross with a small Indian chiefs head in the center. The pin reads "Presented By Schaugh Naugh Tada Tribe 129 - To; Ray Androws - July 17. 1929". The pin is housed in its original folding leather envelope. The pin shows good condition. The piece measures 4 1/2" long, and 2 3/8" wide.
