INLAID OVER-AND-UNDER RIFLE-SHOTGUN.
J.M. Watson, Altoona, Pennsylvania, 2nd half-19th century. 35" octagonal and round barrels, lock plates engraved with hunting scenes, curly walnut stock with checkered wrist and inlaid silver, including patchbox and deer.

Watson was a gunsmith and sporting goods dealer on 11th Avenue in Altoona in the later 19th century.


Condition: Old finish, scratch engraved letters on deer inlay, losses to socket for shotgun ramrod, crack at the wrist.
