Hardee-style Officer’s hat, dark blue felt showing star and bugle with original-to-the-period hat cord, possibly Militia or GAR. The hat is in good condition, the crown very good, the brim shows muchsweat staining and wearing; some tears and small repairs. The interior sweat leather band has been re-stitched and generally good overall. The emblems appear to be original to the body. Hat was a commercial top hat ofthe Civil War era. Est.: $1,000-$3,000.
