Herman H. Heiser emigrated from Germany to the United States in the 1850’s. Heiser once again moved, this time to Colorado. In the early 1860’s and started a successful saddle shop. His sons took over the Heiser Saddlery after Herman’s death in1904. The saddlery was run by Ewald Heiser until 1945 when it was sold to the Denver Dry Goods company who continued to use the Heiser name. This saddle is believed to originate from the first quarter of the 20th century, and shows the triple H, Heiser stamp, reading; "Heiser - HHH - Denver". The saddle shows beauty through simplicity, with simple floral root tooling around the edges of the fenders, skirt, seat back, and seat jockey, as well as the pommel. The saddle utilizes a undercut swell fork, with a medium seat back. Additionally, the saddle is finished with silver toned star conchos, brass rigging dees, and overall fantastic fit and finish. The saddle shows very good condition, with soft, supple leather, and minimal matting to the undercarriage. This saddle is offered to us by the late Bud Chapman, renowned Bozeman, Montana Western collector. The saddle uses a 14" seat.
