Gold Plated Engraved Jim Ence Boot Knife with Ivory Scales and Sheath
This boot knife was fabricated by master knifemaker Jim Ence. Jim Ence has handcrafted knives that have been compared to the craftsmanship of his long time friend and neighbor legendary knifemaker Buster Warenski. For years Ence and Warenski scouted the hills of Utah looking for minerals and gemstones and each influenced the other in his knifemaking. This Ence knife features a 5 1/4 inch double edged blade marked "J F ENCE / RICHFIELD, UT.". The left side of the bolster has a gold plated relief leaf engraving on a punch dot background. Fitted with ivory scales secured to the tang with four pins. The knife is complete with a metal sheath adorned with a tear drop accent exhibiting the same gold plated leaf engraving that is on the bolster. OAL: 9 1/2"
