Interesting group of six untranslated autograph letters from German and Austrian artists of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, including: an ALS by Austrian history and portrait painter Heinrich von Angeli, May 23, 1872; an ALS by German Realist painter Franz von Lenbach, September 19, 1897; an ALS by German painter Heinz May, with two pencil drawings on the reverse, October 22 [no year]; an ALS by German art historian and museum founder Wilhelm von Bode, regarding an invitation, September 8, 1909; an ALS by Austrian painter Albin Egger-Lienz, December 30, 1912; and an ALS by German painter and illustrator Thomas Theodor Heine, regarding a returned letter, April 5, 1935. In overall very good to fine condition, with occasional toning and soiling.
