1) 30 inch blade, with "SCHNITZLER/A&A/SOLINGEN", on the left ricasso. Brass hilt with folding counterguard, raised decorations, and a wire wrapped rayskin grip. Nickel finished steel sheath, with engraved brass fittings. 2) Double fuller blade, 30 1/4 inches long, with etched decoration and "Ames Mfg Co/Chicopee/Mass" on the right side above the ricasso. Brass guard, with cut-through floral designs on the guard, laurel on the pommel, and a wire wrapped rayskin grip. Black leather scabbard with brass fittings and "AMES MFG.CO./CHICOPEE/MASS" on the throat.

Condition: 1) Very good, with some light handling marks on the blade, mixed brass patina, and some scuffing of the skin. The retention piece for the folding guard is absent. Sheath is good, with spotting, dents and flaking. 2)Fine with some light spotting on the blade, which shows 95% plus gold. 70% gilt finish remains on the guard and sheath components, with mild wear. Grip is also fine, with a few areas of absent silver. Sheath is very good, with some separation at the seam.
