Vintage glossy 8 x 10 photo of Patton in uniform as a three-star general, signed and inscribed in fountain pen “To R. Bruce Love from G. S. Patton, Jr.” In very good condition, with heavy vertical crease down the center of the image, heavy right corner crease, a small slit at the bottom of a heavy vertical crease at the extreme left border, scattered overall lighter creasing, and a circular impression to the right of Patton’s stern visage. Accompanied by a typed letter from the original recipient explaining that his sister obtained the photo while she was working with the Red Cross during World War II. Despite its flaws, this is a rare and remarkable signed photo, capturing Patton in his military prime!
