One of Hollywood’s most popular actors (1901–1961) who appeared in more than 100 films and received five Academy Award nominations for Best Actor, winning twice for Sergeant York and High Noon. He also received an Honorary Award in 1961 from the Academy. Handsome vintage glossy 8 x 10 photo of Cooper in a jacket and tie, signed and inscribed in-person in fountain pen “To Saul, Gary Cooper.” Reverse of photo bears collector’s stamp date of March 21, 1936, the date the signature was acquired. A few scattered light surface marks and creases, and some light soiling and toning along top edge, otherwise fine condition.
