Extremely rare mid 19th century Old Paris Porcelain figure of a seated Madarin.Attributed to Jacob Petit.The cologne bottle is modeled as a Chinoiserie style Madarin crosslegged & seated on a gold gilt star & white pillow.He has on a colorful lavishly decorated oriental gown with pale color head dress.This beauitfully modeled and painted Madarin is exquisite and extremely rare.Jacob Petit owned one of the most important and well know porcelain factories in France.His highly decorative porcelains was enormously popular in both America & France.It measures 6" height by 3" deep.Condition: Very good the stopper is missing from the top.
