The hardbound book was published by the C. W. Stanton Company of Chicago, Illinois. The cover of the book shows intricate detail, and beautiful gold toned accents. The book block shows a gorgeous polychrome color, and a wavy finish. The book covers topics such as discoveries and exploration by Norsemen, Spaniards, Englishmen, and French; Leading into the Mound Builders, and American Indian History; The French and Indian Wars, The Revolutionary struggle; Up until important historical events of that current time. The book is also embellished with nearly 500 engravings. Overall, the book shows good condition, there is some apparent wear to the covers edges, and some slight looseness in the binding. The book measures 8 1/4" wide, 10 1/2" tall, and 2" thick.
