Found with above lot. German federal musket by Potsdam armory, .69 caliber smooth bore, 41-1/2” barrel, 56-1/2” overall, brass mounted, relic condition, buttplate stamped 1832. The right side of the butt at the rear is carved with the initials “L.P.” and there is a company type marking with the letter “D” at the left rear of the buttstock. The metal surfaces are heavily rusted and pitted. The markings are barely visible, the action is not working, the stock is weathered, and shows some large losses, and the swing swivels have been removed and one lock plate screw is missing. Has a similar dry patina appearance as the last lot as it appears to have been stored in an attic. Est.: $400-$800
